As a homegrown non-profit, Augusta Training Shop relies heavily on the generosity of our beloved community and donors from near and far to help continue our operations. Funding comes from our furniture services, seat weaving, metal polishing, snowflake/cross sales, as well as grants, private donations, church contributions, corporate sponsorships, and fundraisers. Derby Day celebrates all the pageantry and excitement of the Kentucky Derby. A live feed of the actual race brings the action to you from the world’s most exciting two minutes in sports. The entertainment and food will delight you as you await the big moment when the race begins.

By purchasing a ticket, donating money/in-kind supplies/talent/time, or volunteering for this event, you are giving a gift that truly gives back. We are honored that you are considering helping our special needs artisans.  We appreciate the opportunity to continue to employ adults with special needs in our local community.  Our special employees take great pride in their accomplishments, and they love to contribute their handiwork to our community and beyond.  Our employees are outstanding – in the challenges they face and the spirit and strength they embody. Join us Saturday, May 4th, 2024 from 4 - 8 pm at Recteq 4301 Evans to Locks, Evans GA.  The event will feature live music with the Unmentionables, flavorful barbeque from Chef John of RecTeq and delicious southern food from Jamie Dukes of Wife Saver (Fury's Ferry Road),  plenty of mint juleps, a full bar provided by Bill Hausman of United Distributors and AB Beverage. We will have fashion and hat contests, raffles, and plenty of items to purchase handmade by our special artisans.
